So it’s time to reflect as the end of another successful week of campaigning M4S at UQ approaches! Lovely posters of blue and white (from Bloomberg Businessweek) were spread across the university bright and early Monday morning and as the weather was the clearest it had been for weeks we were able to blitz through the postering! Yet, to make sure it wasn’t ‘too’ easy for us, the poster wars seemed to grow intense this week, with our posters being postered over sometimes within 5 minutes! So we maintained a diligent eye, checking and fixing our posters back into position throughout the week!
While we were replacing posters, we couldn’t resist giving each other a ‘thumbs up’ everytime we noticed many more poster tabs and brochures being taken since last weeks campaign (which there were many)! We were also happy to see a lot of our whiteboarding still up, meaning that people are finding the message interesting and valuable enough to keep up, (but of course we replaced anything that was no longer eye-catching).
Unfortunately because of all the wet weather, many people are coming down with the first viruses of the season, including myself, which meant I was ‘out of service’ for the last half of the week. Mylyn, always keen and hardworking carried on without me for the roaming on Wednesday, giving out candy, brochures and our M4S message! She found a lot of great responses from people interested in health and architecture/design magazines. It’s great to see we’re interesting people with a range of hobbies and from studies! Hopefully I’ll be all better after this weekend, ready to roam giving away folders and posting up brochures first thing Monday morning! We’re looking forward to planning some great ‘final’ activites for our week 5 and making a very fashionable brochure dress for me to roam in ;).
