Week 1 @ Griffith!
The first week of campaigning at Griffith has run
quite smoothly.
I started the week by sending a lot of emails to
people I had contact with to organise some coaffilications where possible. I
was fortunate enough to gain the support of Griffith Golden Key who allowed me
to post an advertisement on Learning at Griffith for all members to see as well
as putting posters up in their locked glass poster cabinet. They also agreed to
put an advertisement in the next newsletter that is distributed to all members
plus placed on the Griffith Golden Key Website. In addition to all of this,
Golden Key had a stall at market day on Thursday (1.3.12) in which they took
some folders to hand out to students. I was really happy with this result as
the M4S offer will reach many students through Golden Key’s large member base
(over 10,000 students and alumni).
Postering this week focused on Time Magazine. I
targeted a variety of different buildings and did a quick check today and most
of the posters are yet to be covered over and still remain looking great! While
postering I seemed to gain a lot of attention and people were looking at the
posters and asking me about the promotion. Postering in the business building
worked particularly well because not many other people poster there and most
posters remained intact and not postered over by the end of the week.
On Friday I got some of my friends involved in
taking some pictures for me to put on my facebook page. They were really
excited to help and loved posing for pictures! One of my friends even did a
little promo video for me. It was lots of fun! Hopefully this will help people
looking on my facebook wall know more about the promotion.
Some questions asked were what specific magazines
students could get discounts on and how long it takes to deliver. Some people
asked if they could have a free magazine to check out.
I have also negotiated with the business school PASS
program which offers students extra classes on top of what the university sets.
I will be attending several sessions in week 3 to talk to students about M4S.
All students I have spoken to seem happy with the
prices and keen to check out all the titles available.
Overall a positive week!
