Hey fellow M4Sers!!
The next day I spent some time chalking around CBE, which gathered a lot of interest - lots of people stopped to read my cartoon and see what it was all about! Several people asked for brochures too. This was really fun and effective and I will definitely do more cartoons around campus next week!
On Thursday I set up a market stall in Union Court. Thursdays are usually market days at ANU, with people from outside the uni coming in to sell various things like second hand clothing and jewellery, so there is a lot of traffic moving through union court. I ran a competition asking people "What would you do with $311?" (the amount that you save by subscribing to The Economist on magazines4students.com.au), the person with the most interesting answer winning next week's issue of The Economist and two blocks of chocolate (which I still have to decide on!). Unfortunately I didn't get as much interest as I had hoped - I definitely think it would have helped if I could have handed out lollies or chocolate at my stall (!) but that is against the rules for market day :( So next week I am considering walking around handing out lollies and M4S folders rather than having a stall.
Overall, it has been a successful week and I can't wait to get started on next week!!
Amie :-)
