Hi Everyone!
My name is Hayley & I am Tasmania's lone M4S ambassador this semester! There has been some trials and tribulations with the Union + University Guidelines here at UTAS but I think I have finally got a good marketing campaign down! I've really been focussing on pre-lecture annoucements this week and have got some marker pens to attack all whiteboards at UTAS next week!
Here are my structured highlights:
My second week of the 2012 M4S Campaign at UTAS has been an efficient week I think
  1.  I have enjoyed knuckling down in to my postering and getting around the campus a lot more. Visiting the School of Business for the second time was definitely an improvement and staff and students seemed very receptive to my work and happy for me to poster quite a lot.
  2. Doing my second full round of postering has given me a good insight into which areas have been working for postering and which areas havn’t been getting much attention. The Faculty of Law and the Business School have both had great results I feel. When doing my new postering I saw some of the Economist posters which had only one little tab left on them, which I think is a really good sign.
  3. Doing lecture announcements have been a little bit scary but hopefully they will become more and more natural as the weeks pass. I think they are a great way to engage a large group of people and I think it’s super important to make sure they are not to long, because I personally lose interest in pre-lecture announcements which are long-winded.
  4. Probably my greatest highlight this week was one of my lecturers, Richard Eccleston, personally spruiking Magazines4Students and The Economist! He informed the class of the posters around, the great deals available and that the Economist is an invaluable resource for students of International Relations. I am working on getting the recording of the lecture to Un-Ai! See my lecture announcement from today and a sneaky input by my lecturer >>>
